Aloe Vera for Digestive Health

www.mypicshares.com

Do you have digestive issues? A good remedy for those problems is liquid aloe vera. If you have heartburn, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal cramps, ulcers, IBS, Crohn’s Disease, celiac disorder, and other related problems, this natural substance is very healing for those types of problems.

Of course, total healing cannot come without good dietary habits. Eat natural, whole, traditional foods to maintain long-term digestion performance such as grass-fed meats, raw dairy products from grass-fed cows (including cream, milk, cheese, butter, and homemade kefir and yogurt), pasture-raised poultry and eggs, soaked and sprouted nuts and seeds, healthy fats from extra-virgin coconut oil and olive oil, palm oils, flax oils, and healthy-sourced lard and tallow (from grass-fed animals), and organic fruits and vegetables as much as possible.

Benefits of regular aloe vera consumption:

  • Digestion support
  • Immune system support
  • Detoxification
  • Regulates weight and energy levels
  • Daily dose of vitamins and minerals – contains A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E, Folic acid, and Niacin. Also contains calcium, sodium, Magnesium, Potassium, Copper, Zinc, and Chromium.
  • Maintains healthy skin by collagen and elastin repair
  • Reduces body inflammation
  • Good source of amino acids
  • Maintains good dental hygiene
  • Better than supplements because aloe vera is a natural food from a whole food source

Be sure to eliminate the following – refined and artificial sweeteners, processed foods including packaged grain products, pastas, breads, cereals, pasteurized milk, soy, (fake meat products, industrial vegetable oils, and other artificial fats like canola, soybean, corn, and cottonseed oils) alcohol, tobacco, and drugs (over-the-counter, prescription, and illegal).

A great brand of aloe vera which has no bitter taste is George’s. Try this wonderful, healing substance with a good change in diet and you’ll be surprised to see your digestive problems improve dramatically.

Aloe vera should be included as part of a daily regimen of healthy habits and sometimes should be used for a period of time – at least two or three months – before benefits might be noticed.

Great info Raine! I’m going to have my husband try this. He has severe reflux issues, and the one thing he hasn’t overcome by our switch to nourishing, traditional foods, is getting off the Prilosec. I know!!! ๐Ÿ™

His condition was so severe in the past that he literally could barely eat/swallow. He was losing his health, and lots of weight. He had to have surgery to correct the problem. This was several years before we met. We both KNOW the Prilosec isn’t good for him at all, but we haven’t been able to find an alternative solution that works for him. Fingers crossed that this can help!

Anna – no, I have never prepared it at home, but I would imagine that it would be much cheaper than buying the bottled variety. Do you have any tips you’d like to share for doing this?

Jen – oh my gosh, that sounds really unpleasant for your husband. My aunt has a similar problem and had to have the surgery. I believe some people really do have a problem that cannot be solved by diet or lifestyle, but many people I have heard about who have reflux or heartburn that stop eating processed foods experience a great amount of relief when they change their diets. My husband had terrible heartburn and some reflux, and he doesn’t experience it much unless he eats something processed or drinks beer. I am sorry to hear your husband has been having to go through that, no fun! Let me know if you try the aloe and experience any improvement, that would be good to know about. ๐Ÿ™‚

[…] Use aloe vera daily. Drinking liquid aloe vera is very soothing and helps heal the digestive tract of a variety of disorders. Aloe vera encourages the bowels to move more efficiently and effectively, and is a great detoxifying agent. Recommended brands are Georgeโ€™s and Country Life. Drink 2-3 ounces of aloe vera in the morning at least a half an hour before breakfast and between meals (two hours after eating) for maximum benefit. […]
