If you feel overwhelmed, you are not alone. I spent years with symptoms I couldn’t unravel and going to doctors who made me feel like I was a hypochondriac (that it was all in my head). I was told on numerous occasions that I needed anxiety and depression medications – just like so many other people I knew who were taking these. And although they told me nothing was wrong…I didn’t feel right. And if nothing was wrong, why was I being told over and over again to take medication? I wasn’t satisfied with that answer.

So I kept searching and searching for the real cause to my problems:  panic symptoms, racing heart, nausea, muscle weakness, jitteryness, the inability to gain weight, fatigue, digestive disorders, frequent illness and infections. I was fed up with being sick and tired, all the time.

I spent years feeling my way around, doing my own research, and making connections with others in the community to find out how to best take care of my family’s health.  About 7 years ago, I started on my way to “cracking the code”. I ditched all the processed foods and sugar which had become such a regular part of my life. Read the story of how this happened, and how I came to embrace real, traditional foods.

Health coaching

I specialize in GAPS and Weston A. Price-based health coaching. I’ve been writing and researching health and nutrition for the last 10 years, and have been making a living selling my written work to clients. I’ve implemented real food into my own  and my family’s life over the last 7+years, and seen some amazing improvements in our collective health.

I started the GAPS-diet in May 2011, and have been coaching adults and children for the last 3 years.  I provide these services for various clients, as well as have done extensive research and writing for clients who also provide these services.

All services I offer with the exception of the full kitchen cleanout/grocery store visit are available as an in-person, one-on-one consultation, or over the phone. I can offer a modified, over-the-phone kitchen clean-out consultation as well.

If you are in need of health coaching, I am now offering free consultations and ask that you donate whatever you can to help me maintain this site and my efforts to educate about health and wellness.

Why am I offering free coaching services?

There is a huge, multi-billion dollar industry in managing illness and disease. I feel very strongly that information which actually helps people to get well and stay well should be available. There shouldn’t be a price tag on it. Because so many people are struggling with financial issues and the inability to get out of the continuing cycle of simply managing disease rather than getting well, I want to do my part to counteract this continuing cycle of un-wellness and chronic illness, to empower and help people to take charge of their health so they can be well.

Nutritional Wellness Planning for Home, School and Business

I offer several packages that provide a comprehensive plan to modify existing eating habits to affect changes in physical well-being, mood, weight-loss, and overall improved state of health – food is the best medicine!

The training I offer follows basic recommendations of the Weston A. Price model of health and nutrition as a foundation for education, writing, and research in nutrition as health therapy.

Package I – Personalized Individual Food Education Plan – $95.00

In this one-on-one, hour-and-a half training session, you will learn:

  • Detailed information about what foods to buy and why based on the recommendations of  the Weston A. Price Foundation and traditional food and health
  • Where to buy the food
  • How to prepare the food to maintain nutritional density
  • What foods to avoid
  • Information about how chemicals in the foods we eat can actually have negative effects your body the same way drugs like alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco do

We will also create a personalized eating plan which will enable you to achieve your health goals.

Package II – Kitchen Cleanout/Grocery Store Visit – $150.00

In addition to everything in Package I  – Personalized Individual Food Education Plan, this three-hour training will consist of:

  • A visit to your house where I will go through your kitchen to advise about what you need to replace or add.
  • Next, we will make a trip to the grocery store and go through all the aisles to learn what to buy and what to avoid

This session can also be done in groups, so find some friends who want to do a trip to the grocery store and let’s go shopping! I’ll provide discounts to groups of two or more people. 

The purpose of nutritional wellness education is to understand the following:

  • Why most diets and meal plans fail
  • The best foods to help you arrive at your natural weight/avoiding those which cause weight gain
  • Learning about how protein, carbs, and fats interact with each other and the human body– including those that are beneficial, and those which are not
  • Overview of detoxification strategies for health benefit
  • Guidance about food cravings and how to take control of them
  • Preparing meals for optimal nutritional benefit

Services are available in person or via telephone and e-mail.  

I do not treat medical illness or disease. My services are intended to support health through recommendations for changes in nutrition and lifestyle that support wellness.  You assume full responsibility for choices you make and implement.
